Who we are:
Uniting4Kids is a catalyst for coordinating the capabilities and resources of teachers, parents and students to inspire the highest levels of intellectual thought, freedom, and equity in education. We represent a more holistic and inclusive approach to learning, one that respects the rights of communities, honors children, and enables parents and professionals who serve them to play a vital role in shaping our neighborhood schools.
What we do:
From playgrounds to legislative hearings Uniting4Kids challenges costly and ineffective government mandates, corporate exploitation of tax dollars and children, and the rapidly growing rate of childhood poverty. Our members solely serve the wellbeing of children by:
- Ensuring public dollars are directed at public schools with public oversight
- End high-stakes standardized testing and failed attempts to micro-manage learning
- Address education inequities and children at-risk with proven interventions, resources and opportunity
- Restore authority and shared responsibility to school administrators, teachers, parents, students, and citizen elected boards
- Build on the strengths of our diversity, promoting trusting collaborative climates to inspire innovation in education
How we do it:

- Coordinate resources, improve communication, and build our collective capacity to ensure integrity in education
- Engage, educate, and empower families, students and teachers to take action to strengthen their schools and communities
- Advance sound policy recommendations and school procedures that are scientifically supported and economically sound
- Cultivate partnerships among individuals and organizations and grow a national network of leaders and change agents to with and for kids
- Promote key educational experts and credible spokespeople
- Connect parents, teachers, students and communities with high-quality research and information about education practice and policy
- Launch immediate and effective responses to misinformation and propaganda.
- Raise funds to support leaders and initiatives that advance the cause for children
